Description

Overview
Urology Diode Laser System 980nm & 1470nm. GIGAALASER combines two parallel working wavelengths (980nm and 1470nm) to form the HPLASⅡ for urology. Operates dual wavelengths running in parallel with maximum combined output up to 200W, achieving optimal absorption in water and hemoglobin for high ablation rate with strong hemostatic effect. The dual laser design may spare internal structures involved in ejaculation, aiming to reduce risk of retrograde ejaculation for selected patients. Excellent hemostatic profile leads to virtually no blood loss during and after procedure and faster healing, reducing urinary urgency symptoms.

Principle of treatment
The treatment commences by inserting the cystoscope containing the BPH probe through the urethra.
The head of the bare fiber is pushed out of the probe.
The dual laser (980nm and 1470nm) is emitted from the probe head.
The operator steers the probe, rotating it to ablate tissue in a circular motion. The funnel grows larger step by step and the BPH probe is withdrawn from the prostate at the end. Urine flow is restored.
